SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University Athletics Department is hosting a workshop by Jen Fry on Tuesday, August 4.

Fry is a renowned speaker, educator and advocate who developed JenFryTalks: a social justice education firm that uses conversation to educate and empower those within athletics through an anti-racist lens on issues of race, inclusion, intersectionality, diversity, and equity.

The entirety of the SU Athletics department will participate in the two-hour workshop as it seeks to further develop best practices and enhance its support for student-athletes, staff and coaches.

Fry, a veteran coach with over 15 years of experience at the collegiate level, has conducted workshops with many prominent NCAA athletic departments such as UCLA, Syracuse, Florida State, Northwestern and Colgate. Her workshops are designed and tailored to discuss a variety of issues on race, diversity, gender, inclusion, antiracism, athletics, power, privilege, and more.
